In our experience, we have constantly seen the same mistakes repeated, and decided to create our own framework to tackle this problem. This is why we have developed our own one-time approach model. We are passionate about developing and applying simple, effective and robust governance. We also have an eye to the future and bring forward elements (such as financing debates or partnerships) to assist quicker overall progress. Our expertise here is based on bringing best practice from overseas and weaving it into the local (i.e. New Zealand’s) context. The implementation of this approach has helped drive successful governance and decision making inside at 25,000FTE organisation. CITY SHAPING
City shaping; A broad term, but one that encapsulates everything we do.
We have experience helping cities bid for, plan and host major events such as the Olympic Games or Tour de France; a key focus of ours is on legacy for the host city and leaving infrastructure or new behaviours for its citizens.
Equally we focus on future infrastructure planning and shaping cities’ networks or on operational matters that affect a city’s movements, contracting, transport fleet or wider outcomes like emissions and social equity. We’ve worked on travel demand management schemes (road pricing), river/harbour crossings, transport service contracts, network planning, asset management and new policy generation to name but a few; what is key to all our work is helping you shape a city or environment for a sustainable future whilst helping to improve people’s quality of life.
